Son of the Rev. James and Mrs. Munro, of Logie Easter, Ross-shire.

Alistair (Alexander) Munro

Alexander was born in Dingwall in 1897 but only got to the age of 20 before he was killed in action.  He enlisted in Edinburgh. He lived at Lidston Edderton.  He got 2 medals: the Victory and British War Medal.  He was killed at the Battle of Arras which had more men killed during it than the Battle of the Somme even though the Somme had more men killed the first day.
