Lt Charles E MacRae

Royal Flying Corps

Charles signed up with his brother Colin in the 4th Seaforth’s and went out to France in November with the regiment.

According to his medal card he was also Sergeant in the 3/4th Seaforth for a time. He was gazetted, 2nd Lieutenant, to the Royal Flying Corp in November 1915.

He was killed in action on the 10th of November 1916. The 70th Squadren were flying Sopwith Strutters which was a British single or two-seat multi-role biplane.

He had two brothers called Colin  and Donald  but they were both killed in action as well.
